Middle game is all about calculating your remaining rolls versus the chances of getting that upper section score bonus. Check to see your progress against missing the “par” for the bonus. You always want to reach an upper section score of 63 or higher to achieve the bonus.

When You are Ahead on “Par”
Be more aggressive with the lower section attempts when you have a comfortable scoring cushion.

Fro example, if you have 1-1-2-2-3 open and you are ahead. You may hold 1-1-2-2 to go for a full house.

When You are Behind on Par
Be more aggressive with the upper section score.

For example, if you have 1-1-2-2-3 like the previous example, you will either hold 1’s or 2’s to try to make up the missing score.

When You are on Pace
Play conservatively for the most part. The only time to take risk is if you are going for Yahtzee.
