In end game, you may have to make a conscious call to stop going after Upper section bonus scores. There are two situations where you may want to do so.

The first situation is when you have landed on the bonus score already, this is when you can play aggressively to go for lower section dice pattern sets such as Large Straight or 4 of a kind.

The second situation is when you are so far off from the bonus score. It may make sense to give up early so that you can concentrate on other parts of the scorecard.
